West Lothian College Debating Team

The debating club was established in 2015, in order to assist with getting students involved and attending the voice of young Europe Erasmus project, which has led to students from West Lothian College travel to many different locations across Europe from Netherlands, Spain, Germany and Romania.

The group has taken part in debates over many different subject matters like; abortion, gay marriage rights, European Referendum, Does money make you happy, amongst many other topics.

The Club continues to develop with the Erasmus project coming to an end this year and is now a Student led, Student run Club. The Club is available for anyone to join and helps to develop many skills like communication, public speaking, problem solving and team working.

The Debating Club runs a session twice each week, Tuesday & Thursday lunchtimes from 12.15 in Pavillion 3, IT3.

Can’t make all debates? No problem, come along to as many as you want. This Club is run for you!
