Travelling Expenses/Bus Passes
To be eligible for assistance with travel necessarily incurred in attending an approved course of study, students must live in one of the areas listed below.
For students under the age of 18 years on the start date of their course, assistance will be given irrespective of parental income.
For all other students, eligibility for assistance with travel will be means tested and is dependent upon the level of contribution expected from the student and/or their parents/spouse/partner/legal guardian.
- East Calder
- Uphall Station
- West Calder
A first bus pass will be provided four weekly from Student Advice.
College bus (E & M Horsburgh Coach). Timetables are available from the Bursary Team.
Two passport photographs must be submitted with your application.
If your course of study is only 2 days per week, you will not receive a bus pass and will only be entitled to £10.00 per week for Travel Expenses.
Any area of Livingston not mentioned in the above listed areas will not be entitled to travel expenses.
If your town has not been mentioned please come and see us at the Student Funding Office.
Please note that if you lose/misplace your bus pass you will not be eligible to obtain another until your next bus pass is due.
You must collect your pass from them. Student Advice is located in the Street Building (Main building) at the top of the stairs, turn right.
